Yeahy! I couldn’t let this day pass!
Most readers of my blog will know that two members of our family are our dogs, Rosie (Collie) and Mille (Pug). We love them, they are such characters so I thought I’d embarrass them both by showing their puppy photo’s as it’s National Puppy Day. Continue reading “It’s National Puppy Day!”
For as long as I can remember I have been around dogs. I grew up with dogs and as soon as I left home and was able to care for one myself well, I didn’t hesitate.
Dogs have been a major part of my life and I can’t imagine my life without them.
I have spoken in previous posts about selling up to live on a boat, well the business I sold in 2017 was a Dog Walking and Petsitting business which I set up and ran for four years and if we hadn’t made the decision to move away and live on our boat, then I’d still be there dog walking and Continue reading “Mud? Who cares!”

Yes it’s that time of year again to don the big boots, big coat, gloves, helmet and cover the face to the elements, strap a slippery board to the feet and throw ourselves off a snow covered mountain…It’s the long awaited and exciting Snowboarding time!
This time we flew off to somewhere totally new to us, Schladming, Austria. We have been a few times to Austria and the journeys have been easy peasy, but this particular area was new to us and it certainly didn’t disappoint, but the journey there was not the best… Continue reading “Not an easy journey to Schladming…”
I’ve made some great ‘blogging friends’ through my first year of blogging and after deciding to carry on blogging I also signed up for this years Bloggers Bash in London, (she says nervously)

I hope everyone had a great Christmas and much merriment!
For us, like most people, Christmas was a time to switch off, take a step back and spend quality time with family.
We had a great Christmas in our camper van, Polly. We drove up North on Christmas Eve to visit with my family where we spent the time between Christmas Eve and Boxing Day generally eating too much, drinking too much, playing games, (which got quite raucous at times) and laughing a lot, then on Boxing Day evening we drove down South to do much of the same with Jon’s family. We are here now to see in the New Year in Cornwall. Continue reading “One year on…”

We’ve all heard of dating agencies right? But did you know about the over 50’s dating scene? Okay, okay I can hear you all shouting, “yes of course we do”, well where the hell have I been? I didn’t know there was such a thing as an ‘over 50’s dating agency’, but there is, senior dating is a thing! Continue reading “Over 50 and ‘In Love’ again”
When I heard the sad news that David Cassidy had passed away, I’d just made a cuppa and was sitting down to work on a blog post I was in the middle of writing, but instead I just sat and contemplated for a while. Hearing this news sparked a few memories for me. Continue reading “When sad news triggers good memories”
Well, after months of planning and after selling my business and our house, we finally made the move out of our 3 bedroom house into our broad beam, narrow canal barge and are in the process of making it home. We’ve been in a few weeks now and I can safely say we are both knackered. Continue reading “We did it! We moved onto the boat!”
After visiting York, England at the weekend, I just had to have a break from my house packing and join in with Cee’s photo challenge with these lines and angles of York Minster. Continue reading “Cee’s Black & White Photo Challenge”
There comes a time when you turn around and your children choose not to hold your hand when crossing the road anymore, they are a little more independent every day, they begin to tackle their own problems, you find out they had a cold and you didn’t even know about it, but they got healthy again without you fussing around them with hot honey and lemon drinks, hot water bottles & without those ‘mummy’ cuddles. You turn around and they’ve grown up. Continue reading “Living the Dream”
Jon’s sister Charlotte and her daughter Molly are members of their local ‘Gigging’ club in Porthleven in Cornwall. Continue reading “Had a go at Gigging”
