I’m inviting and featuring ‘Mid-lifers’ who are enjoying life over 50 and who are happy to shout out about great health, fitness, lifestyles, work or their achievements etc, but more importantly who are embracing this time of their lives with pride.

A big welcome toย Geoff Le Pardย as my thirteenth guest. Geoff is an established author and blogger who I had the pleasure of meeting last year at the Annual Bloggers Bash as he was one of the many smiley faces who welcomed me, (with an unusual blue beard, I might add).

A Slow Meander to York – Part 2 – The Selby Canal & Our First Challenge

We boughtย ‘Head in the Clouds’, over sixteen years ago, she was an empty rusty shell and has been transformed into our home. ย There are still many things needing to be done to her, but we were able to move aboard last October and so far, we love living the boat life.

Fun on a Lake, A Good Book and Planning a Canal Cruise

Last Sunday saw the sun shining again, so we packed a picnic and headed to Rother Valley Country Park. ย  Set in the Borough of Rotherham, South Yorkshire, the park has 4 artificial lakes, nature reserves and plenty of recreational activities, including a water skiing/wake boarding cable system, an inflatable obstacle course, a water sports area, including hiring of paddle boards and various types of boats, there’s also a sailing club and a separate lake solely for jet skiers.
