We bought ‘Head in the Clouds’, over sixteen years ago, she was an empty rusty shell and has been transformed into our home. There are still many things needing to be done to her, but we were able to move aboard last October and so far, we love livingthe boat life.
I awoke this morning really early, to the sound of very noisy birds, singing & twittering to their hearts content, not caring at all that there are people trying to sleep on this boat. I was quite excited because today I was travelling to London. Continue reading “A day of contrasts”→
I wrote this post last May, before we’d sold the house and moved onto the boat. We are so looking forward to cruising soon as work commitments and other practicalities have delayed us, but in the mean time it was nice to have a look back at one of our favourite trips. It was also our cats maiden voyage…
There comes a time when you turn around and your children choose not to hold your hand when crossing the road anymore, they are little more independent every day, they begin to tackle their own problems, you find out they had a cold and you didn’t even know about it, but they got healthy again without you fussing around them with hot honey and lemon drinks, hot water bottles & without those ‘mummy’ cuddles.
