Once again, I am excited to introduce another guest to my series:

Amazing over 50’s

I am inviting and featuring ‘Mid-lifers’ who are enjoying life over 50 and who are happy to shout out about great health, fitness, lifestyles, work or their achievements etc, but more importantly who are embracing this time of their lives with pride and open arms.

This month I’m happy to introduce Georgia Rose as my next guest on the Amazing Over 50’s’ series. Georgia is a published author having written five mysterious and romantic novels with many more to follow, I’m sure.

Welcome to Loving the fifty something and to the Amazing over 50’s series.

Georgia, can I ask you to tell us a little about yourself?

IMG_1892You certainly can Sam, thank you for inviting me to be on your lovely blog. For the purposes of this post I am Georgia (not my real name), I’m 54 and I live in a lovely village in Cambridgeshire, England, these two facts are totally true. I’m self-employed. By day I manage the businesses and bookkeeping for several clients under my real name, and by night I write novels as Georgia Rose. The nights are always considerably more exciting!

I write mysterious and romantic adventure stories for adults. My books are set in the countryside, as am I, and most feature horses, which have always played a major part of my life, as well as the occasional dog or cat.

One of the most thrilling things for me at the moment is that I am now a grandma, a Nana actually, to a beautiful six-month old boy called Oliver. He has captivated me in a way I never expected, as I’m not particularly maternal, but I love every moment I get to spend with him, which is just as well as in a few months’ time I will be helping out with childcare by having him for one day a week.

Do you remember what turning 50 meant to you and how you feel now in relation?

I don’t remember being particularly worried about it (although my memory is notoriouslyIMG_0694 unreliable) but then I am fairly practical and feel you just have to get on with stuff. However, Continue reading “Amazing Over 50’s – Georgia Rose”
