#SundayStills – Let’s Look Closely

For Terri’s Sunday Stills photo challenge this week, the theme is Macro or Close-up Photography.

So let’s look closely at a few things I’ve seen lately…

Don’t you just love a Daisy? Especially with Rose the Collie in the background ๐Ÿ˜

Not the best focus on this gorgeous Red Admiral, but I was quite pleased he stayed still for a few seconds

Getting close up to flowers is always a pleasure. ย These lilac flowers are so delicate

I found this empty nest while in Cornwall, it fascinated me, and Rose!

Guess who these feet belong to?

I found a dead dragonfly a few weeks ago, although sad for the little guy, he was fascinating to look at up close – those wings!

One of my feline friends, Minnie –ย love her paws!

I hope you’ve enjoyed seeing my ‘up-close’ photo’s. ย I haven’t got a fancy camera, so all these were taken with my iPhone. ย Aren’t these phones incredible?!

    1. Haha Swans feet, arenโ€™t they amazing close up??! Very pre-historic! The nest, I was staring at it for so long, very clever for these beautiful little souls to make such amazing things โค๏ธ

    1. I was quite pleased with them ๐Ÿ˜€ thank you that means a lot coming from an inspirational photographer!! ๐Ÿ˜Š

    1. Thank you, sheโ€™s such a photogenic cat, quite arrogant, but beautiful. Such a lovely comment ๐Ÿ˜Šx

  1. Hi Sam, your photos are fab again this week! Isn’t it amazing what our phone can do with us at the helm of course? A great selection for up the close theme with dragonfly my favourite I think.

    1. Oh that poor soul, but I stared at him/her for so long. Stunning, being dead, I think itโ€™d lost a lot of colour but its wings – wow amazing!

    1. Yes, that was taken, I think last May. There were a lot of swans on the canal bank & they are so used to people walking past, they just donโ€™t move, so got lots of great shots๐Ÿ˜Š

    1. That particular swan was very cheeky & came up to us while we were sat in a beer garden. He was right next to me so I took advantage & got quite a few shots. I thought the feet were very interesting ๐Ÿ˜Š

    1. Sorry for the late reply Jerry on this, you were in my spam for some reason. I loved the swan feet photo, so interesting isn’t it? Yes they are like alligator texture. Thank you for your comment ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Thank you. He was stunning. Iโ€™ve been wanting to take a good shot of a dragonfly, but theyโ€™re so fast! This poor soul, I found dead on the floor, but was lovely to study it. Itโ€™s wings were fantastic!

  2. Hi Sam, The colours on the Red Admiral are stunning! I cannot imagine how much work it took to make the nest. I especially like the photo of the swan. A beautiful post:)

    1. ๐Ÿคฃ Yes she looks bemused most of the time! Yes, well it was dead, so easy to photograph. Amazing aren’t they?!!The wings!
