For Terri’s Sunday Stills photo challenge this week, the theme is Macro or Close-up Photography.
So let’s look closely at a few things I’ve seen lately…
Don’t you just love a Daisy? Especially with Rose the Collie in the background 😍
Not the best focus on this gorgeous Red Admiral, but I was quite pleased he stayed still for a few seconds
Getting close up to flowers is always a pleasure. These lilac flowers are so delicate
I found this empty nest while in Cornwall, it fascinated me, and Rose!
Someone’s being a little nosey!
Guess who these feet belong to?
I found a dead dragonfly a few weeks ago, although sad for the little guy, he was fascinating to look at up close – those wings!
One of my feline friends, Minnie – love her paws!
I love this photo I took of a gorgeous swan – look at those beautiful feathers!
I hope you’ve enjoyed seeing my ‘up-close’ photo’s. I haven’t got a fancy camera, so all these were taken with my iPhone. Aren’t these phones incredible?!
Terri Webster Schrandt hosts this weekly #Sundaystills photo challenge and her photographs are really fantastic, so if you’d like to see real quality photo’s, pop over to her blog, Second Wind Leisure Perspectives, you’ll be in for a treat! 📸

Hi Sam, your photos are fab again this week! Isn’t it amazing what our phone can do with us at the helm of course? A great selection for up the close theme with dragonfly my favourite I think.

Oh that poor soul, but I stared at him/her for so long. Stunning, being dead, I think it’d lost a lot of colour but its wings – wow amazing!

I love the photo of the swan. Its feathers are so white. It must have been a very sunny day.

Yes, that was taken, I think last May. There were a lot of swans on the canal bank & they are so used to people walking past, they just don’t move, so got lots of great shots😊

The magic of the iPhone. It’s an incredible tool when it takes photos like the ones in this post, Sam. How did you manage to get so close to those feet?

That particular swan was very cheeky & came up to us while we were sat in a beer garden. He was right next to me so I took advantage & got quite a few shots. I thought the feet were very interesting 😊

You’re braver than me, Sam. I would have run if a swan had approached me. They are beautiful creatures, but when they hiss…😱

Yes they can be grumpy 😊 but so beautiful, I love them.

I’ve had others complain that they too are going into peoples spam. WordPress says it’s because we comment too much over what we normally did.

Not a problem. I completely understand, as the very same has happened to me!
A lot of cat fanatics online call their little feet pads “toe beans” and I think that’s the perfect description 😉 Our animal friends surely are the best. Many blessings to you & yours.
