Once again I am excited to introduce another guest to my series:
Amazing over 50’s
I’m inviting and featuring ‘Mid-lifers’ who are enjoying life over 50 and who are happy to shout out about great health, fitness, lifestyles, work or their achievements etc, but more importantly who are embracing this time of their lives with pride.

I first wrote this post in February last year when we’d only been living on the boat for three months and were short on space. Well, this ‘utility room’ is the most useful room on board and it would be so difficult to live without it now. It is a spare room with double bed, and yes we have had guests sleep in it. It is the cats room, where the litter tray is and where they are fed, it’s a great store room, cloak room and it’s where the washing machine lives and we have lines up along the ceiling creating a great drying space. It’s proved to be a brilliant room so thought I’d share it again. Here’s the post again explaining how it was created:

We did this with certainty in our minds that we were doing the right thing as time had very quickly, but inevitably moved on, my boys had moved away and were happily getting on with their own lives so it was now time to think out of the box, move away from a dangerously boring ‘rut’ we could’ve easily have settled in to and do something a little different ourselves.
We moved onto our canal boat, aptly named, ‘Head in the Clouds’. No, it’s not beautifully finished, in fact there’s still quite a lot to fix, maintain and build, but hey… “we’ll manage to live on it while we finish doing it up right?” we had both said. It’s that time of year again when myself and my better half start looking forward to getting back on our boards and tripping off to find snow up in the mountains somewhere. These are just a few photographs of last years trip to Fernie, Canada and the stunning scenery which took my breath away.
