She is funny isn’t she?! I’d actually told her off at that point for getting too close because that is a Fly agaric mushroom and it’s poisonous I believe. She was a little annoyed and gave me that look of, ‘what? It’s my job to sniff everything!!’ π€£

Love mushrooms and absolutely enjoyed our forest walks in the UK. Years ago it used to be fun to collect mushrooms in a countryside field, not sure if people do that anymore?

Nice to have you back Suzanne, looking forward to reading all about your adventure π Yes people still do pick mushrooms, but it’s best to leave it to the experts because there’s quite a lot which are poisonous. Great to look at though π

Thanks Sam, it’s good to be back π Its taking me ages to get into writing. Feeling tired and I took too many photos! You’re right about the mushrooms. Easier to go and buy the good old plain ones and admire the more exotic others in the wild π

The disgusted dog made me laugh. I’m jealous, as I never get to see colourful fungus. I do see lots of interestingly shaped fungus, though.

I’ve just said to Cynthia who also commented that Iβd just told her off at that point for getting too close because that is a Fly agaric mushroom and itβs poisonous I believe. She was a little annoyed and gave me that look of, βwhat? Itβs my job to sniff everything!!β π€£ The Fly agaric do pop up in strange places, mainly woods, but I’ve seen one in the wall of Jon’s mum and dad’s driveway in Cornwall. It was quite big too π

What, no fairies on the fly agaric? π

Ahh well Val, they were too camera shy π

Funny, the first time I saw a fly agaric I looked for the fairies. I thought those mushrooms had only existed in fairy stories. Classic dog photo – put a smile on my face.
